  1. The Evangelical Free Church of America is looking for a minister… please spread the word…
THE DEPARTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR THE URBAN AND INTERCULTURAL MISSION (UIM) Enrique Fernandez was the first Executive Director for the Urban and Intercultural Mission serving in this role from 1999 to 2005. Under his leadership, the Urban and Intercultural Mission grew in its scope and effectiveness. Dr. Fernandez has transferred back into the EFCA International Mission in a teaching and training capacity where he and his wife, Becky, served prior to serving in his role as the Executive Director for the UIM. THE POSITION The Executive Director of the Urban and Intercultural Mission (EDUIM) reports to the Executive Director of the International Mission and is a member of the National Leadership Team. Peers on the National Leadership Team which is led by the EFCA President include the Executive Directors of National Ministries; Leadership Development; Ministry Advancement; International Mission; and Pastoral Ministries. The EDUIM will provide strategic leadership to the ongoing development of Urban and Intercultural Ministries of the EFCA nationally. This person is expected to fine-tune the vision and to provide strategic leadership in developing long-term urban and intercultural initiatives that will advance the mission of the EFCA to glorify God by multiplying healthy churches among all people. This vision must be translated to clear goals and objectives. The next EDUIM will inherit a fledgling but significant ministry that is gaining momentum in the EFCA. The challenge is to build on the foundation that has been laid over the past several years. The current responsibilities of the EDUIM include: • Providing strategic leadership for UIM in values, mission and vision for the future and through annual strategic planning • Building a strong team: unified, aligned, strategic and results-oriented • Developing of current and future leaders of UIM • Mobilizing and managing key resources for UIM to flourish and build for the future • Providing leadership for the EFCA movement through participation on the National Leadership Team
