Island Fever

Gigi and I will be traveling to Puerto Rico tomorrow for about a week. I won’t have e-mail access in the mountains of Moca. Touch base with you all when I get back.

I was just out there for two weeks with my wife and the kids. I pray you get to eat mofongo rellenado con camarones al ajillo, that will beat out a hamburger any day.
    Blessings and have fun!

  2. Hey David,
God bless, I’m hanging out in the Condado for a few days before heading West to Moca. Last night we ate a La Sonne which had some interesting tapas–the restuarant “DragonFly” in Old San Juan had a 40 minute waiting list. I actually had camarones last night but not with the classic Mofongo al ajillo. I’m waiting to have that in Cabo Rojo. I’m glad to be here, I definitely needed some time off. Puerto Rico is granting me some of that grace. Thanks bro.

I was in PR several weeks ago… in Cabo Rojo, I recommend Tino’s Restaurant… excellent food! It’s listed among PR’s best “Paradores y Mesones.” Enjoy your time in “La Isla!” Many blessings…

  4. Arnaldo,
I just got back recently, I was in Cabo Rojo as well (I didn’t get your post until today). I went to Boqueron and Combate. I had a wonderful Mofongo con mariscos y ajo. Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to check out Tino’s next time.
