Blacks, Latinos & Immigrants Chart Course: NYC’s Final Frontier?

Submitted by David Ramos

Check out the Community Service Society’s recent research on poverty among Blacks and Hispanics and its impact in NYC.  David Jones the President & CEO of the Community Service Society in a recent interview, shared some startling stastics, he said that there were 170,000 young people out of work and not presently enrolled in school; 60,000 on parole and that 32% of Black males (1/3) will are incarcerated in NYC.  And that one third of the voting age citizens are living in poverty who they address as the "unheard third."  What does this mean politically?
